Terms of Service — Linebooth

Effective date: 2026-09-04
Website: linebooth.com

These Terms are a contract between you and an individual seller (name not yet published). They apply when you use Linebooth in any way — the free features that need no account, the free rehearsal days, creating an account, and subscribing.

Please read them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Three other documents form part of this contract:

If any of those documents conflicts with these Terms, the more specific document wins on the point it covers.

1. Who we are

Tax numberNone. We are not registered for Value Added Tax and we have no VAT number.

We do not hold a Commercial Registration. We work as an individual under the Freelance Certificate shown above. Nothing on linebooth.com should be read as a claim that we are a registered company.

We are not registered for Value Added Tax. The price you see is the whole amount you pay. No VAT is added to it, none is collected from you, and we do not issue tax invoices. We issue an ordinary invoice for every payment (see section 6).

2. What the service is

Linebooth is a teleprompter that runs in your web browser. You paste or type a script, and the app displays it and scrolls it at the speed you choose while you record yourself using your own camera, phone, or recording software.

What we do not do. We do not record your video, and we do not receive, host, or store any video or audio you produce. The recording happens entirely on your own device with your own tools.

Our advertisements are part of this contract. Under Article 10(1) of the E-Commerce Law, our electronic advertisements are contractual documents that bind us. We describe Linebooth accurately and we do not promise more than it does. If an advertisement of ours describes a feature that these Terms do not describe, we honour the advertised description of that feature.

3. Eligibility — you must be 18 or over

Linebooth is offered only to individuals aged 18 years or older. It is not offered to minors, and a minor must not create an account or use the service, with or without a parent's permission.

There are two reasons, and we state them plainly:

  1. Under the Civil Transactions Law, the age of majority in the Kingdom is 18. A contract made by a minor is voidable, so a subscription sold to a minor would not be enforceable.
  2. Saudi rules on children's personal data require that data to be stored and processed inside the Kingdom. Our systems store personal data outside the Kingdom (see the Privacy Policy), so we cannot lawfully handle a minor's data.

If we discover that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will:

You confirm that you are 18 or over on the sign-in screen, before we take your email address, and again on the checkout screen, before the pay button will do anything. The date and time of each confirmation is recorded, and the one made at checkout travels with the payment record. We may suspend an account while we check.

4. Your account

5. Acceptable use

Your use of Linebooth is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of this contract. Read it before you start.

In short: the scripts you paste are stored on our systems, and under the Anti-Cyber Crime Law it is a criminal offence to produce, send, or store material that infringes public order, religious values, public morals, or the privacy of others. You must not put such material into Linebooth. The Acceptable Use Policy explains what is prohibited, how to report content, and how we handle takedowns.

Breaking the Acceptable Use Policy is a breach of these Terms and can lead to suspension or termination under section 13.

6. What is free, what is paid, subscription, and payment

The full commercial terms are in the Subscription and Billing Terms, which form part of this contract and which you are shown before you commit. The essentials are:

We do not charge interest, penalties, or late fees on unpaid amounts. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.

7. Your right to withdraw within 7 days

Under Article 13(1) of the E-Commerce Law you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 7 days of the date it is concluded, and to be refunded.

This right ends the moment you actually use the service. "Actually use" means using the teleprompter after your paid subscription has started — for example opening a script and scrolling it in the app. Once you have used it, the withdrawal right no longer applies. Your ordinary right to cancel future renewals under section 6 is unaffected.

Renewals do not restart it. The 7-day withdrawal right applies to the conclusion of the subscription contract. Automatic renewal continues the same contract; it does not start a new 7-day period. Your right to cancel future renewals under section 6 continues at all times.

How to exercise it. Email support@linebooth.com within the 7 days, from or quoting the email address you used for the order, and say that you are withdrawing. You do not need a form and you do not need to give a reason.

What it costs you. We charge you nothing for withdrawing. You bear only your own costs, such as your internet connection or any charge your own bank makes on a refund.

Refund. We refund the full amount to the original payment method, and no other, within 14 days of receiving your notice. The payment provider executes the refund; your own bank may take a few days more to show it.

8. If we fail to deliver

If we fail to provide the service by the agreed date and the delay runs for more than 15 days, you may cancel the contract under Article 14 of the E-Commerce Law and recover what you paid, together with any costs you incurred because of the failure. Contact us at support@linebooth.com.

9. Intellectual property

Your scripts are yours. Everything you paste, type, or upload into Linebooth — your scripts, notes, and text — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your scripts. We do not sell them, publish them, or use them in our marketing.

You give us a limited permission to store your scripts, display them back to you, and process them only so far as is needed to run the service for you — including sending text to {{AI_VENDOR}} if, and only if, you use an AI feature (section 10). This permission exists only to run the service, and it ends when you delete the script or your account.

AI features send your text outside the Kingdom. Using an AI feature sends the text of that script to {{AI_VENDOR}} outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Before we enable any AI feature we will complete the written transfer risk assessment required under the Personal Data Transfer Outside the Kingdom Regulation, covering {{AI_VENDOR}} and any onward transfer it makes. The Privacy Policy explains the transfer.

Our app is ours. The Linebooth software, design, interface, text, and brand belong to an individual seller (name not yet published) and are protected by the Copyright Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the service — whether you are using the free features, the free rehearsal days, or a paid subscription — for as long as your account is open and in good standing. You must not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product out of our app.

You confirm that you have the right to use the scripts you put into the service, and that they do not infringe anyone else's copyright.

10. AI features — what they can and cannot do

If Linebooth offers AI features (for example rewriting or shortening a script), they work by sending your text to a third-party AI provider, {{AI_VENDOR}}, which processes it and returns a result.

We say this plainly:

You can use Linebooth as a teleprompter without using any AI feature.

11. Service availability

We work to keep Linebooth running and available, but we do not give an uptime guarantee unless we have agreed one with you in a separate written document.

The service depends on third-party providers — Cloudflare, Inc. for hosting, Cloudflare Workers KV for the database, and {{AI_VENDOR}} for AI features. If they go down, the service may go down with them.

We may carry out maintenance. Where maintenance is planned, we aim to tell you in advance by email or in the app. If an outage runs long, section 8 gives you a right to cancel and be repaid.

Keep your own copy of important scripts. We take reasonable care of your data, but you should not rely on Linebooth as your only copy.

12. Price changes

We may change the subscription price. If we do:

If you do not cancel before the effective date, the new price applies from your next renewal.

13. Suspension and termination

You may cancel at any time, from your account settings or by emailing support@linebooth.com. See section 6 for what happens to the period you have paid for.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will warn you first, tell you what the problem is, and give you a fair chance to fix it. We may act immediately and without warning where content is unlawful, where there is a security risk, or where an authority requires it.

After termination. If you want a copy of your scripts, ask us at support@linebooth.com before your account closes or promptly afterwards, and we will provide them if we still hold them. We do not promise to keep them for any fixed period after closure, so keep your own copy. If we end your subscription for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of what you have paid.

14. Our liability

We are responsible to you for loss that we actually cause by breaking this contract.

Limit. Except where the law does not allow a limit, our total contractual liability to you for claims arising out of or in connection with this contract, in any 12-month period, is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss. If you have paid us nothing — for example while you are using the free features or the free rehearsal days — our liability is limited to the loss you actually prove.

We are not responsible for:

We do not limit or exclude liability for fraud, for gross negligence, for wilful misconduct, or for anything that Saudi law does not permit to be limited or excluded.

15. Sanctions and export

By using Linebooth you confirm that:

If we learn that this is not true, we may suspend or close your account immediately.

16. Privacy

How we handle your personal data — what we collect, why, who we share it with, the fact that it is stored outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the scope of our use of cookies, your rights, and how to complain — is set out in our Privacy Policy at linebooth.com. It forms part of this contract.

17. Marketing messages

We send you service messages that you cannot opt out of — invoices, receipts, reminders about your free rehearsal days and about renewals, price-change notices, security notices, and changes to these Terms. Those are part of running your account.

Marketing is different. We only send marketing messages if you have given separate, prior consent, ticked separately from creating your account. You are never required to accept marketing in order to subscribe.

18. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell us. This is how complaints are handled:

  1. How to complain. Email support@linebooth.com with the word "Complaint" or «شكوى» in the subject line (a phone number will be published here; email is the monitored channel). Tell us your account email, what happened, and what you want us to do.
  2. Acknowledgement. We confirm receipt and give your complaint a reference. Linebooth is run by one person, so we aim to acknowledge quickly rather than promise a fixed time.
  3. Handling. The provider named in section 1 reviews every complaint personally, looks at the account records, and contacts you if anything is unclear.
  4. Outcome. We give you a written answer. We aim to answer as quickly as we reasonably can, and if a complaint needs longer we tell you so and keep you updated.
  5. Records. We keep a record of every complaint and how it was resolved.
  6. If you are not satisfied. You may escalate to the Ministry of Commerce through its official consumer-complaint channels at any time, and you keep every right the law gives you.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi courts apply the principles of Sharia, and some contractual clauses — in particular penalty clauses and clauses charging interest — may not be enforced. We do not charge interest or penalties on late payment.

If a dispute arises, contact us first at support@linebooth.com and we will try in good faith to settle it with you. This step is not a condition of your right to complain to the Ministry of Commerce or to go to court; you may do either at any time.

If the dispute is not settled, the competent courts and committees of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any right you have as a consumer under Saudi law.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms — for example when the law changes or when the service changes.

The date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.

21. Language

These Terms are published in Arabic and English, and the two versions say the same thing.

If you find any difference between the two, tell us at support@linebooth.com and we will correct it.

22. Existing accounts and the move to paid plans

Linebooth has been available free of charge. These Terms and the paid model take effect on 2026-09-04. This is how the change works for accounts that already exist:
